this, of course, reaffirms "I'm a bad person"

the most depressing thing MIGHT be that if i'd just bellied up to the bar and stayed away from Dr. Tongue Depressor and her $1.50 Tylenol capsule, i'd feel the same, but i'd be $254 richer OR it could be that after a week and a half of general yuck i'm still not well enough to enjoy a shisha on this most beautiful of evenings, BUT what i'd really ( Read more... )

Huh. There seems to be an 'I'm a bad person' trend of late. I'm gonna be a rebel and reaffirm that I am awesome. Even if I just used the word 'awesome'.

Moronic subordinates are only fun if they're not responsible for helping you get actual work done. If they're just there for eye candy and to send into muddy pits and fast flowing streams (just because you can), or you get to force them to consume Mentos and Diet Coke for your viewing pleasure... then it's okay. Fun, even, in a sadistic way. But incompetence is far too annoying when your job rests on their capabilities.

no matter where you work, you'll find the moron squad: they're universal and all-consuming. i'm not going to impeach Bp just because they use low-contract bidders for their donkey work - every business in the world uses the cheapest labour who can do the job. they're certainly not MIT material, but their pliable and willing, so i'm not too concerned

as for being a bad person, lemme rephrase: i'm a harsh, nasty person; doesn't me i'm not jawesome. ¡JAWESOME! tell ya what, we can be hang out and be jawesomely caddy - tell the rest of the world why they're inferior

GODDAMN IT WHY ARE YOU STILL AT THIS JOB?!?!?!?!?!?!?! YOU ARE BETTER THAN THIS!

I'll probably chicken out and erase this comment tomorrow morning, especially since this is a very old conversation at this point, but, hopefully, I will stick to my guns for once.

I agree with the lady. You can do better. Stupid minions... Have you ever seen Mike Judge's "Idiocracy"? You really should. Generally, the best advice I can give is "An ounce of inaccuracy can be worth a pound of explanation ( ... )
