Title: Breaking

Pairing: Akame
Summary: People change and some things stay the same. Kame is kidnapped and Jin must save him in more ways than one.
Notes: This story is turning out longer than expected :D The chapters will stay short, though. But I'll continue to update as I have time ^_^
( Prolouge)
( Chapter One)
"Where is he?" Koki paced, worried. "Did someone try his cell?"
"No response," Junno replied.
Nakamaru checked his watch. "We have five minutes to get on stage. If Kame's not here..." The sentence was left to drag.
"Something happened." Ueda's voice was convinced. "We have to talk to the managers. Kame would never just skip work without calling..."
Jin was the only one silent. The only one seemingly unworried. He sat in his chair, unaffected by the chaos his band members thought necessary to start.
The managers came in a minute later, asking what was wrong and where was Kamenashi and warning them that they had only seconds left before the show started.
The others started excuses and Jin stood, silencing them. "He ditched. End of story. I'll take over his parts." Jin's voice was cold. "It's not like we really need him anyway."
He didn't heed the angry glares of his band mates as he walked out the door. He didn't care about what they thought. It didn't matter anyway.
The official excuse was that Kame had caught a cold. They played it up, pretending to just be worried about a cold. Jin wasn't worried at all. Kame had ditched. He'd run away. And Jin didn't care.
It seemed forever before the show finished.
The managers stood anxiously at the exit. "Kamenashi didn't go home last night. No one knows where he is."
The information wasn't more than they already had, but it sent a tremor through the rest of the group. "Is he all right? Do you think something happened?" The questions flew faster than anyone could answer.
"He ran away, that's all." Jin's voice cut through the rest and they looked at him in disbelief. "I don't know why you guys are so concerned. He can take care of himself."
Koki was the first to snap. He grabbed the front of Jin's shirt and pulled him forward, their faces inches apart as they stared each other down. "What the hell is wrong with you Akanishi?" Koki's words were harsh, livid with emotion. "Get your head out of your ass and stop acting like an insensitive prick."
"Koki!" Nakamaru tried to pull his friend away, but it was only with the help of all of them that they were able to pry the two apart.
"He used to be your best friend, Jin..." Koki said, teeth clenched against tears as he finally stopped struggling against his band mates and managers. Jin stood in front of them, eyes directed away and posture relaxed as if he didn't care. "You used to love him."
Jin stiffened and turned a heated glare at Koki, the first emotion they'd see from the singer since the break up. "I used to love him. Not anymore. The past won't hold me to any obligation. Not when it concerns him."
And then he turned away from them and left.
