Even within the classic series it's not *quite* true - he directed bits of ano earlier one - IIRC, Warrior's Gate.

He also directed - we were amused to learn from the misspelt text notes on the DVD this summer - a long and tedious padding scene for ‘Timelash’ inserted to bring it up to time. We imagined him on the sidelines shouting “Lots less pace and energy!”

And tragically you’re just too late to be up to date with the About Times: Richard got his Volume 6 through the post last week, so copies will be hitting UK stores about now ;-)

A bit cheeky of me, I know, but would it be possible for me to borrow the About Time books? They seem hard to get hold of through libraries ...
