It's been a long time since I read Brothers Karamazov, but that's pretty much how I recall feeling at the end. And I love Dostoevsky, I really do, but that was a bit much for me.

Congratulations on actually having more unread books than I do; next time my partner gives me a hard time about the state of the to-read pile I might point him at that list.

I have or have read quite a few things on that list. I can heartily recommend Sailing to Sarantium and No Great Mischief as good books that take next to no time to read.
