It's hard to imagine a more bogus way of estimating the mean inter-country migration rate for the last few millenia than by taking a poll in 2006 of readers of the blog of an inter-country migrant and peripatetic global traveller...

millennia, not millenia, of course. Damn. Could make an exceptionally weak joke about the inter-country migration rate of the last few millenia being zero, because millenia can't get off their arses, but I really can't be bothered.
