There is a big exhibition about Napoleon in Paris, and in the course of a long weekend there F and I visited it yesterday.

Thank you for an interesting post, although unfortunately going to Paris is not going to be possible...

But you reminded me that one of my favourite books of all time is 'Désirée' by Annemarie Selinko (Amazon link here, although obviously don't buy from amazon!) which details the life of Napoleon's first love. (Before Josephine.) A truly wonderful book, if you want a different perspective.
