By great good chance I happened to be in New York during the first week of November 2008, so I was able to witness at first hand the jubilation around Obama's first election as President. Who Goes There looks fun. I love books about poking around Britain. (Ted Simon, author of maybe the most famous motorcycle travel book, Jupiter's Travels, wrote one in his later years about pootling along the UK's back roads on a 3-wheeled scooter.)
