Soylent Green (1973) and Make Room! Make Room! (1966)

Soylent Green won the first Nebula Award for Best Dramatic Presentation, for 1973. (This particular Nebula category has a complex history, but this is the first time it was given under any name.) I saw it when it came out & found it pretty boring except for the bits that were unintenionally funny; my hazy memory is of bad sets, a story that made no sense & really terrible acting.
I think there was an underlying problem that I could never believe the whole Overpopulation scare so I was probably biased against the Film from the start.

I saw Soylent Green at the cinema when it came out - amazing film. The death scene is so moving. And it checked the box for tackling the over-population problem, which concerned me greatly, and still does.
