Life in 2020, as portrayed in science fiction

With a new year coming, it's a good time to think about how the year 2020 looked from the distant vantage point of science fiction from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Fab overview of what we once thought our futures might be for the coming year. I can't think of many narratives set in 2020; but that could be because I'm probably pretty poorly-read when it comes to less mainstream or more recondite SciFi. Nice to be reminded of one of the lesser Frederick Pohl's. Mind you, using plosive alliteration like that I should really have been Roy Hattersley's speech-writer.
