Of course, what's in his tax returns doesn't matter. He's already spun it as "Smart", so the NYT is saying "Donald Trump may be a GENIUS". Revealing that he go tax REBATES for 18 years will just convince his supporters he's a super-genius. The only thing that will get them to dump Donald is a revelation that Donald REALLY IS just a plant by the Clinton campaign to destroy the Republican party. And even then a bunch of them will claim that's a lie.
