We closed one of our factories in the US, partially because it stopped being easy for our non-US management team to visit it. Instead of smoothly crossing the border into the US, the program manager got "randomly" hauled off for questioning EVERY SINGLE TIME. My skin is much paler and my name is more Anglo-Saxon, so I always got through with no problems and waited for an hour or more at the rental car counter for Fadi to be released.
Factories in the UK with non-UK parent companies are going to start having similar difficulties with their monthly management reviews. Expect to see frustrated executives decide it's not worth the effort.
