Two friends of mine have suffered strokes this month (and it's only the 10th) - both women of about 40, living in Belgium. I'm glad to hear that cygny is recovering, but Keni has been taken from us far too soon. Everyone, remember FAST ( Read more... )

I'm sorry for the loss of your friend.

Thank-you for the reminder of what to look for. I lost two grandparents to a stroke, and it's sometimes easy to forget that it can affect people of any age.

Thank you for posting this. My girlfriend is a medical speech-language pathologist & she spends much of her time helping folks to rehab after having a stroke. She's a lovely lady, but you really don't want to spend an extended period of time in her professional company.

Time is absolutely of the essence. Fast treatment greatly improves chances for recovery.
