I don't know how you find the time to read all this stuff Nicholas! The article on the "weirdenss" of English was excellent. I was particularly fascinated because I am attempting to learn Old English, albeit only to a level of comprehending it rather than getting an 'A' Level in it. We only see the strangeness when a stranger points it out to us, and much of the ground covered was familiar to me. But it was well-written and there were quite a few "new" snippets that I filed away - the survival of the -s at the end of the third person verb is a particularly interesting "hanger on".

Actually that one was a genuine case of using the bookmarks for something I didn't have time to read when I came across it! I admit that usually it's content that I have read and want to share - which is why I usually share shorter pieces, except on Saturday mornings!
