A few weeks back I blogged a compilation of what others had written about the British Helsinki Human Rights group. The compiler of the Transition Trends blog responded, "BHHRG is a joke organisation. Why the Guardian has any time for them, I don't know." and pointed to a link on his own blog hereLast night, someone else (a Euronet/Wanadoo customer ( Read more... )

Thank you. I really appreciate the chance to watch your mind at work, here, using stuff from our real world.

Ack, that doesn't begin to touch what I'm trying to say. But you're very clear, and, well, clearly showing you don't suffer fools gladly. Especially fools who align themselves with bullies. As well, it's good to watch how you take apart your own attitude; a communications and expressions standard to aspire to.

PS are you one of those people who cringe when seeing a dangling preposition? If so, I regret my demonstration of the same above. (*points to the time-stamp in a forlorn effort to play for forgiveness*)

Check out the code blue blog's coverage of Yushchenko (meta-article here), or this article at antiwar.com. Let's
hope he gets on the wagon and stays there.

The Boyle article is well-argued, but antiwar.com writes such lies about the Balkans that I have to take anything they publish with a pinch of salt. (The Vienna clinic cannot be considered reliable witnesses either, having changed their line so radically.) Of course, whatever the true nature of Yushchenko's illness in September, it would not be at all surprising if he has an alcohol problem.

Re Yeltsin, I don't know if you saw David Owen's article which was being blogged a few months back?
