Mouth ulcers update

Thanks very much again to everyone who made suggestions last week. In the end I didn't try salt or Bonjela, both of which have failed me before, but I have been going for a combination of mint tea last thing at night, vitamin pills and also the stuff you dab on with a brush, sold here as Pyralvex, which is basically rhubarb extract and aspirin. Funnily enough my son just developed an horrendous mouth-ulcer, and we've been trying the same stuff (apart from mint tea which he won't touch). I wonder if there is some horrible bug or virus going round? Though it would have to be going very far round to get to my son at school in Coventry.

Nice thought, but I'm pretty sure my current problems began from gritting my teeth too hard during the nine-hour drive from Geneva to Brussels on Monday last week!

Strangely enough my foster sister gets mouth ulcers if she drinks too much orange or other very acidic fruit juices. If she uses a straw she doesn't get them. It might be a thing to look into.

My own suspicion is that it's not the acid but the sugar. But I have no proof.
