Mouth ulcers

Anyone have a miracle cure for mouth ulcers? I know they usually go away after ten days but would appreciate advice on how to get rid of them sooner.

Yeah, been there, done that. Also tea tree oil. Makes no difference (but leaves a nice taste in the mouth). I think I'll just stick to painkillers.

To prevent, or to cure?

I would think, both, but it's a bit late for prevention now :-)

If any of your nutrient levels are a bit low, it might hamper healing and resistance to infection, I would have thought.

Hope they get better soon. I hate mouth ulcers

My dentist told me that to heal the mouth ulcers had to be not disturbed, - I used to disturb them with my tooth-brush every morning and at bedtime...

And then he recommended salt-water, not only to rinse, but also to heal.
Getting mouth ulcers can be your body telling you that it needs salt.

I get mouth ulcers when my body badly needs salt.
I drink a glass of salt-water or lick some.

OK, this is going to sound weird, but I've heard that hot peppers (or spicy food) will help mouth ulcers.

I've never tried it, though. Actually, it sounds about as effective as jumping up and down on one foot to cure a sprained ankle.
