If I remember rightly (I haven't seen Exit Wounds recently because the end of it reduces me to a soggy mess), I think Gray is coercing Captain Spike via in-built bomb to do his dirty work for him. Not that it made much sense even at the time.

I think you might have meant 'To The Last Man' rather then 'Sleeper' as one of Tosh's romantic episodes.
