SJA first season (2007) and Time Crash

So, I reach the first full season of the Sarah Jane Adventures. Absolutely excellent stuff, and if you haven't watched it you should. Oddly enough, that was the episode that had us clicking on to Suranne Jones, what with the sheer zest she played Mona.

Absent that, though, I concede it was not the best.

I've still only seen up to Whatever Happened to Sarah Jane, but so far, I'd say SJA was probably the closest in feel of all three of the nu!Who shows to oldSkool Dr Who, and I do wonder if that's why I like it so much. Also, it's mostly wonderful, from what I've seen.

One amusing typo: " the real Jane Asher was Paul McCartney" - which opens up a whole other realm of potential stories in which she has to combine the two separate existences.

My only regret about SJA was that it wasn't around when I was the target age for it, as I might have loved it even more then. I also think - and will be interested to see your opinion when it comes around - that it features Matt Smith's best performance as the Doctor.
