I didn't really get much out of this Eighth Doctor novel, set immediately after the two-volume Interference, with the Doctor, Fitz and new companion Compassion getting involved with various aliens and Iris Wildthyme. I bought this in a fit of enthusiasm when I was doing something on gay YA SF (and Strange Boy is an interesting if queer novel). Never got round to reading it, or completing the something. I think I started it and Was Confused.

It's less gay and more continuity-heavy than most of the Wildthyme stories, so probably not a good place to start!

I'm guessing that I must have bought this because I was pointed to it by something - an interview? people foaming at the mouth - and I assume it isn't Magrs' sole Who volume. Possibly clicking on stuff on Amazon. I sent off to buy rather than saw in a shop. Unless I'd seen in a shop then sent off.

One of these days I'll have the gap to write the article. If I can find the notes of the paper I delivered.
