Several years back, I made the mistake of reading a handful of the books related to the Sabbath storyline and discounting the rest of the series because they were so impenetrable. You don't need to read sequentially, but there's a handful of books that really do require knowing what came before.
My general experience is that the books with Sam as a companion are pretty okay for reading in whatever order you get them and can be read almost completely independently of the later books with Fitz. The Fitz books benefit more from sequential reading, though it's not always vital. I've been meaning to either search out or create a list of the books related to the Sabbath storyline for a while now and have just never gotten quite that organized. Sorry.
For Miranda, you only need to read Father Time by Lance Parkin (who also wrote a few spin-off comics based on the character, but they're not vital to her storyline). For Sabbath, you need to read ... well, a whole slew of books starting with The Adventuress of Henrietta Street. Except that I'm not sure I'd recommend it; the Sabbath storyline is tedious, inconsistent, and has a (IMO deeply unsatisfying) payoff that you've already read.
