My vasectomy, last year, was also my only surgery (barring a wisdom tooth extraction). I had a couple of minor complications, including what I took at the time to be a small (grape-sized) hematoma, which has now gone down to approximately pea-sized and I am resolutely ignoring. My local health authority has been entertainingly useless about semen samples - detailed instructions about when and how often to provide them (every two weeks after 12 weeks), with incorrect directions to the path lab, then astonishingly delayed test results - two months from first test to first result letter. Two more months later they have written to tell me to stop providing samples, but they have not yet provided any further results. Sooner or later I will get a letter either saying that I am now firing blanks or telling me that they botched it and would I like them to have another go....
Jeepers, that's alarming on the samples question. I was told to provide one after at least six weeks (appointment now made for eight weeks on) and a second at about twelve. My experience of the Belgians is that they are clinically efficient on this sort of thing, so I live in hope...
