Let me make sure I understand, you don't like this??! *shakes her head*

The video is absolutely amazing, honey. The song is fantastic and your vid compliments it in every way possible. 1:10-1:25 is pure brilliance, imo.

Thank you!! ♥

This is so gorgeous and perfect, I love it so much. I have to agree with evangelin1202 that my favorite parts was 1:10-1:25, but the whole vid was awesome. It really fit Spike's POV. :)

Would you mind if I linked this video on Tumblr, with credit of course, or are you planning on doing that yourself, so I can reblog it? I just want to spread this to my followers, because I'm sure people would love it. :)

Saying your vid is wonderful is almost unnecessary because they always are wonderful, but if this is a vid you're not quite happy with . . . if only all the stuff I wasn't quite happy with was this good! I love it, of course, especially the transition to vamp!William everyone's mentioned when the song goes "RAGE!" and we see William in the fire, but the Spuffy parts really fit your description of the vid. All roads for Spike do lead to Buffy.

thank you!

again, I think I'm gonna upload just for fun, all the parts I kept changing.

This video has taken me forever to finish, which is why I think, no matter what, I'm gonna be just a little unsatisfied with it.
This is such a Spike POV song to me, and I'm glad you think I made it work.
Mumford & Sons is like a drug to my Spuffy brain.

Oh my gosh, Anne. This is amazing. Seriously.

At first I was a little thrown because the style does seem a little different from your other vids (something about the way the scene cuts are--faster maybe? or maybe it's that the scenes aren't very actiony but the cuts are fast? I don't know.)--but I think it's brilliant. But once I sank into it, I realized that style just works so well with the music choice.

And, man, I'll echo everyone else--the Spike flashback section is simply magnificent. My favorite moment might be he and Cecily sitting on the couch, and then just him, the cut is seamless and Cecily just disappears. That's so so lovely. And the rest of the flashback, too with BoxerRebellion!Spike and SubwayTrain!Spike.

You're wonderful. I'm terrified that Community is going to steal you away from Buffy forever. And I love Community--so don't get me wrong. I love your Community vids--BUT. Man. You just do these kids so much justice. What would I do without you?!

YES! my vidding style has drastically changed, and I'm constantly trying to figure out what it's changed into. When I first started vidding, I was a huge beat editor, but I've strayed from that in way, because it's kind of predictable, and I want my videos to be different even if they're all about the same thing. I still don't think I can describe my style at all, but I know that in this video, I used the song to tell a story, so not all the cuts are where you would expect them to be I guess. I dont even know! lol

I LOVE IT.

I think my favorite part (which it's also my favorite in the song) is the first "swelling rage" and then the tumble of Spike's history comes into focus. It's very powerful. I especially loved how you transitioned to the flashbacks with the scanning shot of the alley (from OMWF) going dark and then switching to the carriages.

You've started doing something really interesting with abrupted action -- where you stop right as Buffy and Spike make contact, touch, like the final force of the action isn't shown. It communicates this sense of getting lost in contact, where my imagination finishes the action, it really jolts the viewer to engage with the story you're telling.

I loved this too! I was gonna say this! I love how it's like both locations have an archway framing them at first. And the carriage with that change in the music is just perfect.

It is the songs fault!

I think one of these days I'll need to sit down and figure out what the hell my style is. Maybe it's all different depending on the video, and therefore my brain will always be confuzed ( ... )

Awww, you're so sweet!

I wouldn't worry too much about figuring out your style -- you seem to be very natural, like you're tapping into something here. Just let it rock, bb. ♥

And thank you so much for the prezzie! I was having a bad time of it last night and this really helped. *hugs*
