Oh... I hate being sick. I hate allergies. Lately I've been waking up with a raw, inflamed throat and a runny nose and phlegm. My sisters and I spent the night at my Tia's house and forgot my medicine, so I had to sneak out of the house in the morning while they were still asleep, come home and take the medicine and a steaming cup of rat piss

oh man. i fucking love cloverfield. all of my friends think it was weird and sucky, but i loved it. i havent seen empire records. what's it about?

ah, Empire Records is now one of my favorite movies ever. first of all because it's a 90's movie. and it has a great soundtrack. and it's funny and real.

it's about these employees at a record store, owned by this guy who wants to franchise it out. one of the employees finds out and tries to save the place, but ends up royally screwing things up. fortunately, the manager loves all the employees like they're his teenage screwup stepkids or something, and they have to figure out a way to buy the record store off of the owner so that they can keep it fun.

I'm thinking of writing a fic based off it, actually.

and yes! Cloverfield was great. of course the camera angles - though very true to the scenario - fail just a little, but I really did like the whole in life documentary quality. I don't think I've seen any of the actors before except the chick who played Marlena - and I had to look it up later because she looked familiar - and the fact is it didn't seem like anyone was acting. it felt... well, about as real as a shaky home

oh man. i'm going to have to look into that movie. i'll get back to you after i watch it. and yeah. the angles in cloverfield were less than stellar, but that's what you get when you've got people actually running with cameras. something i appreciated was how secret it was. the people didn't know anything about the scenes they were filming until they got to the set each day. they didnt get scripts in advance or anything.

i love that movie.
