taleeen's option was to wear pretty heels, and then buy balroom dancing shoes for the evening, as they had a lot more support, and she could actually dance in them.
I like the last two, but think the first two are um, frightening. I think you need to try on, and have a tiny bit of fabric from your skirt that you can match to (or contrast with) shoes.
Hurrah for dressage again, I say try on shoes and find ones you like which are comfy. The pressure's off now, and shoeshopping is a good game!
Having had the entertaining experience of once wearing high heels for about 2 hours I would go with anything but high heels. Go for what every comfy option you like. Alternatively use one of your Bridesmaids as a handy shoe rack and have the shoes of choice at the time. This is not without precedent, a Taiwanese friend changed several times into different dresses and shoes throughout her wedding so that she was comfortable.
Yeah, no worries, will friend you back. I don't post often by the way.
Are you an RGN?
I just left Rampton due to it starting to drive me crazy - start in July in an acute day hospital. I did a placement there years ago and loved it, so can't wait to get back to adult mental health services and out of forensics!
So yeah, nice to 'meet' you and hooray for bonding over Medium. :)

If they get uncomfortable, you can recline by the edge of the dancefloor and demand that friends & family bring you things.

Go with the hearts and buy some ballet pumps just in case.

I enjoyed the prison stuff, but the team I worked with drove me mad! Having your workmates screaming at each other in the office is not helpful!
Glad to 'meet' you. Be warned, my LJ is spammed with uni stuff atm. I'm doing a degree :P
