"Do you visit Silverstag often?" I asked a friend of Otter and Polecat.

"No, not really. This is the only time I've been. Just visiting Otter and Polecat on a whim," he replied.

I chuckled, "Yeah, I was visiting on a whim in August, and then I never left . . ."

"Fancy!" He exclaimed "Do you like it at Silverstag?"

It is, of course, only a thought, but ...

If you end up staying there, if the relationship with Hibiscus does not deteriorate, you might consider making your cob home right next door. Literally, attached. If you had your own home, others could come and visit you one-on-one.

That is somewhat what we're considering, but it would be not nextdoor, as the houses on either side are taken. Otter and Polecat live on one side, and another couple directly on the other. There is not much space between the houses, only a few feet. However, there are many other not taken lots at Silverstag waiting for houses to be built upon them.

Hibiscus is already buying one of the lots to build a rental property. He wants to build it out of cob and have me design and build it and then I'll get half the rent money as well as get experience with building a cob house and know if I want to build my own. :)

It's so beautiful there. It seems a reasonable place to establish your 'base' home.
