Another busy weekend

Friday I was off work, and I was away from home running errands most of the day. First I went to the chiropractor, and then I stopped by my parents' house to see the progress of their kitchen remodel. We also discussed plans for the Hallsville event, since the people and weather variables have been varying. Right now we're planning to go out for ( Read more... )

You're so productive. Go you! I need to learn more about starching things. It's on my list. The boots and bonnet sound great!

I'm tired! I did a lot of running around, especially because of the laundry and starching bits. Starching is cool, and under-appreciated. ;)

How much are you having to move the buttons? I've got some of her button boots, and when she published the instructions for moving the buttons, I was pleased. When I overlapped them snugly around the ankle, though, the front and back seams careen off to the side. (I didn't cut the buttons off yet so I'm not committed to moving them yet.) Would you share before and after pictures, please?

Maybe 3/4" at the most. The front and back seams will definitely be off-center, and she mentions that specifically. I didn't take before pictures, though it's the same as stock pictures. I'll try to take pictures while I'm re-doing them.

For me, it's something like two inches. I can see where less than an inch wouldn't be a problem. I know she mentioned off-center seams, but mine would just be ridiculous. It's been awhile since I looked at it so I should look again and evaluate. Maybe I have skinny legs. I'm sure yours will be lovely.

Do you mean an individual button moves 2", or the seam is over 2"? Because my seam is over a lot more than 3/4". Or do you mean pinching out excess at the ankle? 2" sounds right in that case.

My ankles aren't tiny, but my foot is not very thick; so the tricky part for me is moving the top of the foot over enough without making the flap buckle up at the vamp.
