So the Wheel turns again and here we are at the longest day of the year. (Yes, I know; if ever I get someone on my friends list who lives in the Antipodes, I'll mod this to 'Happy Midsummer/Midwinter'.) Where we live, we had just over four hours of darkness last night

I wish you could digitise some of that turtle pie and send it through. I hope you and J managed to duck the nasty weather that blew across the North East this afternoon; even as I type this I can hear water still drip-drip-dripping off the roof and can only hope the rain relents a bit on the morrow for cycling.

I love true dark mainly thanks to my interest in starwatching, but there's precious little of it to be had here in England. I haven't seen the Milky Way once from any part of the UK. I don't generally seem to be affected by SAD, but my sleep schedule does some bizarre things as winter waxes. ;-)
