About how many hours a day did you spend on it?

Um, I'm not really sure. Some days it was only an hour or so, and then sometimes I worked on it for most of the afternoon and evening. I'm not very good at keeping track of that sort of thing.

Thanks!

Actually, these are done in crocheting. It's easy to learn, though. I bet you can find a site on the internet to teach you.

Oh my god I'm just.... gah! I can't believe someone actually made something I designed. :D OMG this is so awesome and yours turned out so nice too!

For the mattress stitch it looks like you did it fine vertically, but horizontally it looks like you just did it on the wrong side. But it doesn't look bad or anything! It's so amazing, omg.

Also the borders of your squares.... the dcs look longer than mine. Did you do a treble crochet or something?

Omg I'm just so happy you finished and it all made since and you were able to do it without any problems (or any that you've told me about ;)) which means I actually explained the pattern well! :D

Are you on Ravelry?? If not you should join. :D www.ravelry.com

Omg congratulations!!!

I know, I'm so excited!!!!!!

Yeah, I did end up with the mattress stitch on the wrong side. I tried to do it on the right side, but it was bunching up and looking really weird, so I decided to just do it the other way.

On the borders - I did use a double crochet, but it was pretty loose. It also might look bigger in the last picture because the weight of the blanket was stretching it out.

I know, I'm so, so happy that it's done. The pattern was great, and totally clear. The only thing I wondered about was whether the first row of half double crochets around the outside of the whole thing was supposed to be into the base of the stitches, like in the seperate squares, but it wasn't that big a deal and I just didn't do it.

I've never been to Ravelry, but I've heard that it has a really long waiting list. I'll check it out.

Once again, thanks so much for sharing this with us! I'm just so glad that you designed this pattern, because I sure would never have been able to do it!

Ummm, hm. It's been so long now I can't remember. Hahah. I think I just went into the stitches normally. So I think you did it right. :)

Ravelry does have a waiting list, but it only takes a few weeks for an invite to be sent to you. It's totally worth the wait, because it's such a wonderful way to keep track of your projects, plus connect with other people, and get help, find resources in the forums, etc. :D

Omg you're welcome again. :D I'm happy it was so much fun and rewarding for you to do. :)

That's good. I wanted the stripes to look equal, anyway.

Yeah, I signed up last night. It looks pretty cool. Maybe it will help me keep track of my dozens of projects lying around. :)
