Probably not everyone though, indeed I suspect it wouldn't take more than a clench or two for nearly all those who attempt this task to retreat to where they can lick the wounded places in their hearts. What I'm suggesting isn't for the light-hearted, despite my claims that it should be easy.

Bloody hell, you're a hard taskmaster. It was just one short extract after all, I can hardly be expected to get every possible option into it. Besides, I was very careful to not use any term which Donaldson had already made his own as it would be too easy to trot out such overused (by the Donmeister anyway) words such as clench.

I can't help thinking that a Donaldson-Lovecraft cross-over has potential. He clenched his odious oblong box of disturbing size.
