One disclaimer I forgot to add: The last two lines of dialogue are directly from the episode "Tabu"

I'm glad you liked it. I've had the loose idea for a while, but getting the fic actually written ended up being a last minute kind of thing. After re-watching 'Tabu' I've decided that I quite like Jeff as a character and plan to use him in my next big fic, but he'll probably be a lot nicer in it than he is in this one...

(A) Any time someone writes David, I have to do my OMG YAY Kermit flail. *see icon

(B) Any time someone writes David as well as you have HERE? I've died and gone to heaven. This was absolute perfection, so completely in character for David. Heartbreaking and honest. Loved this.

I know what you mean! I love David. He's such a genuine kind of guy. No shenanigans, no secret agent spy stuff, just good old fashioned awesomeness.

Really glad you liked this and thought it sounded in character for David. Since the challenge was 'rare pairings,' I thought I'd go really rare, but I worried hooking him up with someone so random wouldn't work for characterization. Good to here that wasn't the case. :)

Ouch! Ouch! Ouch!

This is a beautiful take on David and, not only in that episode, but how he looks at law enforcement. *happy sigh*
