Don's Boss

Hey, this might not be the right place to ask this and if its not, this can be deleted, but does anyone know the name of Don's immediate boss. He could have appeared in the pilot, but I'm not sure. Was he even named?

It would sure help me out if someone could tell me.

Walter Merrick was in the pilot. But in the S3 episode Under Pressure, there was a new guy, called Wright.

Was he explicitly stated to be Don's boss or was he just the one in charge of the operation dealing with the potential terrorist attack?

Walt Merrick was, I believe, referred to as an AD (Assistant Director). Do we know Wright's title from on screen canon?

FWIW, I know he was the same actor who played Lt. Fancy on NYPD. James McDaniel is listed in IMDB as playing Phillip Wright in Under Pressure. No title is shown.

:gets out DVD to check: In the first scene where we see him, after the title flash, he announces for those from visiting agencies who don't know, "I'm Assistant Director Wright". I thought he did get called that on screen.
