Oh, and I just realized, this is the first time they've tried to get rid of Charlie by having him follow a woman! Alan's all, what's wrong with you, Charlie, and I'm like, hello, she lives in ENGLAND!! And later they're like, sure, follow Amita to Boston! *shakes head*
Ooh, you're right! I can't believe they actually do that twice! I'd never even noticed that before...
Which is pretty crazy considering the whole premise of the show is predicated on having him there, helping Don solve crimes with the power of his math *g*
I think the thing that confuses me most about the whole Charlie-Susan thing is the way they treat Larry in relation to her and whether he knows who she is or not... Because he's definitely heard of her, in that opening scene (which I love for Charlie's whole stuttering explanation thing, reminds me of how he is when Alan talks about his fight with Don over Val). But later on, he doesn't seem to have actually seen her, when they're working in Charlie's office and Amita asks about her.
Yeah, I agree on the burning ribs thing. But there is that episode, where at the end, he gets upset with Don going skating with Liz and Alan and Millie going out, because he's made Hungarian Goulash and only Amita is left to eat it with him...
And I totally agree with your analysis of that last scene and Don's thoughts *g*
BTW, the one thing I forgot to say I loved in this, is Don at the crime scene, yelling for Tommy to cover Saida's body. He shows empathy for her cousin, which Colby apparently doesn't seem bothered about...
