Penfield figured that destroying Eppsies' Convergence theory, the one that put him on the mathematical map would cause Eppsie to remember his name.
However, not only did Eppsie find a cure for the little flaw that he'd found, he went and named the variation after him!
Bah! This had made him look (and feel) like a world class jerk.
He grinned. On the bright side, he was sure that Eppsie would remember his name from now on.
