Charlie dipped the soap wand into the water and waved it around. Amita leaned back and watched the bubbles until they broke against the wall.

"How pretty," she said. She took a sip of champagne.

"I used to not like soap bubbles," Charlie said.

"Really? In spite of all the pretty math they embody?"

Charlie nodded. He dipped the wand back into the water. He admired the soap film in the little loop before creating another stream of bubbles. Amita reached out and popped a few.

"My brother once said that I lived in a bubble," Charlie said by way of explanation.

"Did he?" Amita sipped on her wine.

Charlie nodded. "During one of our too many even for me to calculate arguments."

"You two get along better, now," she observed.

Charlie pursed his lips and blew a stream of bubbles in her direction. "Nice not arguing with him ALL the time," he said.

Amita nodded, smiled and sat up, causing her soapy bath water to glide around her like a negligee. "So, are you going to blow bubbles all night or are you going to join me?"

Charlie broke a few speed records as he responded to her invitation.
