Revenge is Most Amusing

“CHARLIE! I can’t believe you went this far!” Don laughed over the phone, his attempt to sound angry failing miserably, “This must have been expensive!”

Charlie chuckled on the other end, “Anything you for Don.”

“You really have absolutely no idea just how badly you got me…” Don said.

“What do you mean?”

“I didn’t come home alone… I had a date with me,” Don explained.

Charlie erupted with laughter, eventually managing to choke out, “You never told me you were dating someone!”

“Its only been a few dates. The restaurant we were craving was full, but they do take-out, so we brought it back to my place, only to find the results of your covert operation...”

“Wow! That’s even better than I planned! But I hope I haven’t ruined your chances of another date,” Charlie said amusedly.

“If you’ve scared her off, boy, you’re in trouble!”

“Aww, Donnie, I’m sure your many good qualities far outweigh your bad furniture.”

“I hope so. But Charlie, of ALL the times you could have chosen to get my furniture reupholstered with fluorescent plaid fabric, did it have to be the one day when the girl I bring home is an interior designer?”

A/N: Thanks to my BFF for coming up with the idea that Don should be bringing home a date when he sees the furniture!
