Numb3rs Het Summer Challenge 2012
Hello! Welcome to the Numb3rs Het Summer Challenge! This year's challenge is similar to last year's, but it does have a few changes, so please review the rules below before signing up.
As in the past, I have created a table with three categories of prompts--Person, Place, and Thing. To sign up for the challenge, please choose one word from each category and leave a comment indicating which prompts you've chosen. This year there is also a bonus category! The final column is a list of Actions. This prompt category is optional. If you do decide to pick an action, simply include it in your comment along with the other prompts you are claiming. ETA: How you incorporate the prompts into your fic is up to you; they can appear literally, or figuratively, or simply serve as inspiration to get you going. The fun of the challenge is figuring out how to turn these words into a story, and I want you to have as much freedom to do that as possible.
You should pick 3 (or 4) prompts per story (or art work), but there is no limit to how many sets of prompts you can sign up for. The individual prompts are not first-come, first-served, but I would suggest you try to pick words that other people have not already claimed, just for variety's sake.
Dates:
Sign-ups: Friday, July 27 - Friday, August 17
Posting: Saturday, August 18 - Saturday, September 22
Rules:
--Fic must be a minimum of 300 words.
--Fic must feature mainly het content and the Numb3rs universe/characters (please see comm rules for details).
--There is no penalty for not completing the challenge, so if you signed up but weren't able to post a fic last year, feel free to sign up again now. If you need to drop out, I would appreciate an e-mail just so that I know, but other than that don't worry about it.
Other Guidelines:
--Your fic may be any rating, from G to NC-17, and may contain any het pairing, canon or otherwise.
--Crossovers, AUs, and original characters are welcome.
--If you are not a writer but would still like to participate, fan art other than fic (e.g., drawings, manips, wallpapers, icon sets, fanmixes, etc.) is welcome.
--Fic (and art) must be posted with proper headings, including at least the following:
