Being vegan really isn't a whole lot of fun, but it's worth it. I can't eat a lot of stuff - besides the obvious cheese, eggs, ice cream, etc., there are a lot of snack foods that have dairy products and I have to be very careful with soup and bread. But there are plenty of options - vinaigrettes are good dressing alternatives and most coffee shops will use soy milk on request. I miss cheese the most, I think... (I don't miss meat at all xP)
To sum it up, it's tricky and makes eating out a massive pain in the neck, but it's very important to me.
Just out of curiosity, why do you ask? Are you interested in going vegan or just curious? ^^
(lolol I don't think I've tried that, but it's probably good. xD)
I donno why i asked! :o i am usually so scared of commenting too \:0/ But probably just curious and i have thought of cutting out meat cuz i dont like seeing 15+ packs of 40+ duck hearts in one supermarket, not that i can change the marketstuff
i cannot imagine not drinking milk :OOOO and i thought cheese is made from milk :o tho i've spent a year or so cutting out alot of foods and it was really awful, being that alot of the foods were my favourite V _ V i am ranting ha ha!
Anyways, thanks for taking your time to answer my question! :D I dont know any vegan people so it was really enlightening if i ever become a vegantarian, i will tell you haha * w *
oh oh and i wandered to here from the hetalia community c: it's been a windy day =v=
I'm pretty timid about commenting, too. I'm not sure why, though, because I personally love receiving random comments. xD
I never really drank much milk, so it's not too hard for me xD but I do miss cheese. A lot. I've been trying to cut down for a while, but I find it a lot easier to just STOP. Cutting down allows for too much procrastination (like, "oh, I'll stop putting cheese on my sandwiches neeeeext week" lol) which is something I'm really really bad at. But I probably should have done a bit more research and taken it more slowly. I was really lethargic for about a month after I went vegan, and I lost more hair than usual (though not enough to notice, thank god!!). But everything's normal now. :3
You're welcome! I like talking about it; I find a lot of people haven't even heard of veganism and it can be hard to convince them that I'm not insane. xDDD
