Out of the blue I received a pair of tickets to see Mr. Peter Murphy in Milwaukee.   I’ve seen him on a number of different tours, going back to 1995.  I’ve seen a pop tour, a rock tour, an acoustic tour, a turkish-ethnic tour…and now he’s back doing a kind of rock thing

I have to say that I have not been as impressed, of late, with the good Mr. Murphy. When I saw him in Barcelona a winter ago, it was okay, but not great. The last time he was in Seattle I didn't go because it was at a tiny venue more suited to the up-and-coming than to someone I'd once seen play much larger places.

Still, I have to ask: which Joy Division song?

Well, his last album kinda sucked, and the last Bauhaus reunion was somewhat unspectacular, so I'm not surprised. He's been a bit off his game for a while. This last tour seems a bit of a return to form.

He did "Transmission."
