During rehearsal last night, we were playing "Return" and suddenly, there in the bridge that had always perlplexed me as to "what should we do there", I heard this awesome fretless bass part. It was simple, it harmonized perfectly, and it was smoooooth.

Chuck was just ON.

I was so surprised I forgot to sing the next verse.

Now I just need to remember what I played there. ;-)

I think it helps that after 20 years of playing, just this week I realized that maybe I should actually listen to what the sounds were instead of trying to remember what the sheet music said to do.
