A Summary of the Past two months

I think I've changed in a lot of ways over the past few months even though the day to day environment has remained constant. Grad school still isn't easy or anything, but I really feel like I've planted roots here at Stanford. I owe everything to the people in my group and my advisor for helping me make it through my first year. And as rare as

Yeah, my group definitely feels like family to me. Except I drink with them.

The weird thing is when my family found out I started recreational drinking they started again too after years of nothing. Before I had only seen my dad drink a beer about 10 times during my childhood. My mom made me teach her how to make chocolate martinis over Christmas break.
