Things have been okay the past few days. Because of a broken clamp, on Sunday I spilled almost all the material I was going to talk about in subgroup the next day. It was pretty devastating but I had enough to take an NMR, and it actually looked okay. Thankfully my adviser seems to really be understanding about these things, and when I presented

He's a second-year med student, so that's definitely a plus. We talked a little bit Saturday night but mostly, um, danced and stuff.
Is it just a plus because he's not in your department or are there other, darker reasons? Doctor fetish? :)

Not being in the department is not only a plus, it means he's eligible for consideration ;)

I think you should give him a chance and at least get to know him a little better! It's hard to be attracted to and not feel scared of someone you don't know well. Besides, you've had fun being around him so far, right? :)
