NWN thwartage

I am using a custom hak pak with item portraits that override some standard NWN game assets (like iit_torch_019.tga). I can see the item picture in the appearance tab of the toolset when I edit an item. When I play the game, the item shows up as a white rectangle in my inventory. When E. plays the game, she sees the item portrait. We have the same

You might try searching her hard drive for files which contain the filename or the pathname of the content. Perhaps there is some additional file which sets up the path correctly on her machine and incorrectly on yours.

Hmm. I'm pretty sure the game is just hardwired to look in the game directories and nowhere else for content...

Check for (a) any additional hak paks installed on either one of your computers, even if your module doesn't use them (b) whether you're using the same version of NWN & expansion packs (c) any discrepancies in your override directory?
