[Damn painter, why so stubborn? Ted ponders these concerns.] The power is tied to your emotions. At first, any agitation would set it off. Just stay calm and you should be fine. [On a ship full of dangerous prisoners, staying calm should be easy. What could go wrong here?]

[His inflection on the word "stupid" sends him into a coughing fit during which he takes the time to glare some more.] If you want me to do this, I want it lower than inmate levels. It's no a fair trade otherwise.

[Ted's totally thought this all through. He can't draw, so your painting abilities of ~teh futuuure~ shouldn't hurt him too much. And he doesn't do drugs anyway. So it should be fine, just fine. Right?] How could it not be fair? I'll be experiencing your power at full force. The idea isn't to get you to hurt someone. Lower than inmate levels on radiation wouldn't help. The most you could do would be microwave popcorn in your hand.
