SFX mag gave it 2 and a half or 3 stars out of 5 (I'd have to check) because the effects were good and someone in the cast acted well. :(
I love the mag but they keep giving Star Wars prequels and blue kittens 4 stars just because it looks pretty. *le sigh*

that's also why I don't read SF mags anymore. It's all about "OMG cool!" instead of "OMG well made film!"
