He shoulda asked, "what ethnicity are you". Nationality is what country you're a citizen of, isn't it? But then again, he seemed ignorant. whatever.=)

I am Filipino and I always wonder why when I meet another Filipino they always ask me are you Filipino? I have never seen African-Americans ask each other if they are Africans. What is with some Asians with their preoccupation with ethnic origins? And stereotyping, I dislike people who stereotype; to define an ethnic group from an interaction one had with someone of a different race is really unfair.
