Very nice. There were one or two awkward spots in the prose but overall this was excellently done. I liked your incorporation of quotes very much and the weapons metaphors were very poignant.

The danger lies in the some of the parts.

Did you mean "sum", as in to add?

No, I actually meant what it says. It was a play on the "sum of (her) parts". That was one of the things that bothered me about calling this complete but it was kind of insistent :)
