Well now ether the battery is fried or the battery connection is fried on my Laptop which means I can only use it when it's plugged in limiting my use of it a bit

Laptops are cheap enough these days, it makes sense to invest in a new one (unless you have some custom-built gaming laptop or something like that).
By the way your journal struck me as interesting - I'm an international studies major and I noticed you are interested in shapeshifting, which I have a passing interest in. I'd love to hear your thoughts on said subjects at some point.

Thanks, International Studies was my minor though I have to admit I haven't kept up with things as much as I did a couple of years ago. A lot of interest though was in multi-state cultures (e.g. the ROK & DPRK / ROC & PRC) and the politics of identity. One interesting piece of propaganda I like is Iran's Scheme of Thais (It's in MEMRI's archives) where the US is identified with the Greeks under Alexander the Great moving between footage of modern American soldiers and ancient reliefs showing Alexander's soldiers.
what specifically about those topics are you interested in?
Mine has started giving me troubles lately too. I'm surprised that yours lasted so long; it seems like laptops hardly last. My last one only made it two years(Dell), but this one I have is 3 1/2 now.
