I Just went to see Underworld,I liked it ...I not as much as Pirates of the Caribbean but there was enough gore and growling to keep me interested ..I also thought the story-line was at least well thought out..couple of things I want to point out about movie theaters..I just don't think movies like this are appropriate for toddelers..sometimes I ( Read more... )

I totally agree on the whole toddlers situation. Went to see Freddy vs. Jason, a mother brought 3 kids, and all of them looked to be under 8 years old. I don't think that even with parental supervision should 8 years olds watch a rated R movie. I was chided by the management of a theater once cause I said "fuck" in front of a woman's child. She complained to the management, and they came to talk to me. Granted it was in the theater before the movie started and the movie we were about to watch was South Park. I didn't see her sitting behind me, otherwise I would've curbed my language a bit more, but shit, who brings a 6 year old to a movie that has the quote "Donkey Raping Shit Eater" in it.

I guess it's because I don't have kids of my own to do strange things in front of. I can't wait to drop off my kids at their school wearing curlers in my hair and loudly singing polka songs. *sigh* One day....one day.....

I agree about toddlers in theaters. I mean the child who's making too much noise obviously is not enjoying the theater, the patrons dont enjoy it, and I cna't see how the parent could possibly enjoy it. So, what's the point? Ehhhh, annoyance! Anyway, good to see you got your journal going!
