I have absolutely had it with the 2012 political scene.  Yeah, okay, the President isn't everything we hoped.  We had such high hopes, it's not surprise he couldn't deliver on all of them.

But the alternative?  If the alternative doesn't scare you to death, you must be a lunatic.

Why?  I'll tell you.  Strap in.

To be fair, the GOP candidates to my knowledge don't advocate imprisoning and executing people based on their sexuality. Yet.

I don't have any other intelligent thing to add to this other than "I agree." I've been feeling pretty hopeless and overwhelmed by the politcal climate and the state of our government

This is not too dissimilar to my own rants over at Titanium Don. You may have read them.

The problem is that the people in the actual majority are NOT SPEAKING OUT - and we need to. The press is a propaganda machine now, and bought and paid for. And people are taking what they are being fed, because of the fear policy the last administration put in place and which the GOP continues to maintain.

Santorum is frightening. The others are not much better, but that he has ANY viability is unnerving. My girlfriend has been warned to get a passport - because I AM ready to flee. I sincerely hope it does not come to that.

We who are reasonable need to speak, and speak more loudly than the unreasonable yahoos currently getting all the air time.
