Was wondering how the writing's going?

Very nice of you to ask, Jeff. Well, I'm about 16,000 words into a novel right now. The good news is, I envision it as a YA novel, and I'm thinking it will only be about 50,000 words - so I'm about 1/3 of the way finished. The bad news is, I'm stuck. So, while I'm stuck, I'm editing/rewriting a handful of shorts, most of which have been rejected just about everywhere, yet all of which I still think have some merit. Trying hard not to think about turd polishing. And I'm also writing all the lyrics for a new CD.

But I guess the best way to answer your question is to let ya know that I now have a 4 1/2 month old baby girl. THAT's how writing is going! Trying to follow your example of late night writing habits (hence this post at 1:15 am), but it's friggin' HARD...

Could I send you another short story sometime?
